![]() ![]() It doesn't "assist" like it claims, it does ALL of the braking, as I tested into a hairpin. Here I also discovered that the brake lights don't come on whilst this auto-braking system was on. I first noticed this when I tried to take a corner flat out when the game didn't want me to, and the brakes were put on. I set it up with "Racer", only to discover something that has since annoyed me immensely (poor driver that I am, I need ABS and TC to fall back on, but not the SM that it also forces on me): EA seems to think that ABS stands for "Auto Braking System". Maybe it's my slightly-knackered PS2, or maybe not, but it took considerably longer than Gran Turismo 4 had, and THAT has a lot to load! Saving also takes a long time. I do, however, like the inclusion of more muscle cars, as well as the Escort RS Cosworth that has since appeared in Undercover.įiring up the game, I got incredibly bored waiting for it to load. I think EA should have simply expanded the car list from Carbon. Also confusing was the inclusion of a Golf GTI and R32, surely we don't need both? Although EA has done that before. The Pagani Zonda sticks out a mile, not least on price, and please explain to me WHY a 1990s Honda CIVIC is in the game, and not even the top-end one? I understand the AE86 Corolla and 240SX S13 (though not why we have that over the quicker 200SX, which has the same reputation), as they are well-known drift cars, but the Civic? Odd. I got bought this game a couple of days ago, and now I have access to a PC (mine) again, I shall write my first review.įirst impressions were that the car list was a bit odd.
